I have worked in weight and metabolic disease management for more than 16 years. I earned my master’s degree in nursing in 2004 from St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. Since then I have been working to prevent and reverse cardio-metabolic diseases related to lifestyle choices. Sharing knowledge and power of low carb living is my passion. I enjoy the partnerships that develop between me and my patients. My overall goal is to to improve body composition and weight of my patients which leads to better health and most importantly, improved quality of life.
I truly enjoy teaching about how macronutrients behave in the body and how those nutrients can be harnessed to drive metabolism, decrease body fat stores and provide the energy required to live our lives to the fullest. When I am not at work, I enjoy gardening, urban farming, snowboarding, cooking delicious low carb dishes and a good horror flick.
